About Certification
What Is New Excellent Product (NEP)?
NEP (New Excellent Product) certification is a government program that officially certifies products developed with technology first developed domestically or equivalent substitute technology, aiming to support initial market access and promote technology development.
The Korea Industrial Technology Association (KOITA) operates the program. Upon certification, products are designated for mandatory 20% public procurement, securing stable public sales channels.

NEP (New Excellent Product) Designation Process
Application Submission
Submit your application online through the KOITA New Excellent Product certification website.
Document & Interview Review (Presentation Evaluation)
A presentation evaluation is conducted at a KOITA-designated venue, consisting of product core content explanation and Q&A with review panel members.
On-Site Review
For companies that pass the document and interview review, an on-site evaluation is conducted at the manufacturing facility of the applied product.
Advance Notice
Public notice of products scheduled for certification and acceptance of objections are conducted.
Adjustment Review
An adjustment review is conducted regarding objection matters from the objection adjustment review.
Comprehensive Review
Overall review results are consolidated for final confirmation and deliberation on certified product selection.
Certification Announcement
Final certified companies are announced and certification is complete.
