What Is Green Certification?
Green Certification is a program under the Framework Act on Low Carbon, Green Growth that certifies and supports promising Green Technology.
Through certification of technologies in emerging industries, fine dust reduction, climate change, and related fields, the program supports market creation—contributing to increased revenue, job creation, industry development, and stronger corporate competitiveness.

- Materials demonstrating Green Technology technical level compliance (test reports, eco-label certificates, etc.)
- Intellectual property documentation (patent certificates, patent registration records, patent gazettes)

Verification Application

Green Certification Process
Application and Submission
Submit application documents—including the technology (product) description—online to apply for certification.
Requirement Review and Acceptance (Dedicated Agency, Assessing Agency)
The dedicated agency and assessing agency each review submitted documents. After the applicant addresses any deficiencies, the application is formally accepted.
On-Site Evaluation
The assessing agency visits the manufacturing facility where the technology is applied to verify actual technology ownership, how the technology is utilized, and the foundation for commercialization.
Comprehensive Evaluation
Technical merit and environmental benefit are evaluated according to the Green Technology comprehensive evaluation criteria. A score of 70 or above on the arithmetic mean constitutes a pass.
Results are sent to the dedicated agency, which recommends certification when the application meets certification standards.
Green Certification
Deliberation Committee
The dedicated agency convenes the Green Certification Deliberation Committee to finalize certification and verification recommendations.
