About Certification
What Is GR Certification
(Good Recycled Product)?
GR Certification is officially granted to products made from recyclable resources under laws on recycled products and waste, after passing strict selection and review processes established by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy—recognizing quality and technical capability.
Even if your product is not listed among existing GR items, you can register it as a new item through the subject item selection process and then obtain certification.

Document & Interview Review
Through application document review and applicant interviews, the evaluation committee comprehensively assesses compliance with quality certification standards, development technology, environmental friendliness, and resource circulation impact.
On-Site Audit
Quality management and technical audits are conducted at the domestic manufacturing plant for the applied product—including subcontractor and recycled raw material supplier sites—and at locations where the product is installed.
Product Audit
The evaluation committee directly collects samples at the product manufacturing plant for quality testing and reviews compliance with the applicable quality certification standards.
Comprehensive Review
Interview, on-site, and product audit results are combined for final suitability deliberation by the review committee. All certification applications, item additions, and validity extension requests go through this stage.
